Making a Difference in the Lives of Children

The staff at Koala Park Daycare foster each child’s independent thinking skills and thus help the children become self-confident as they become sensitive to the world around them. At Koala Park Daycare we focus on giving children freedom, letting them try, letting them fail, encouraging them, letting them succeed, and rejoicing with them! At Koala Park Daycare a child can be a child, the learning process happens naturally.

Like Piaget, the staff at Koala Park Daycare believes that children “think by doing.” At Koala Park Daycare children learn by playing. Play is their work.

Karina, Koala Park Daycare's founder, is joined by her mother, Lili, as well as her growing team of experienced childcare providers. Each staff member is a qualified childcare provider and educator. Everyone is certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, AED, and Health and First Aid and is required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of relevant industry training every two years.

Ms. Marta, KP Infant Teacher

"Hi! I have worked Koala Park Daycare, the Armourvilla Ave location, over 2 years now, first as a full time employee and now a Sub, always in charge of caring for the babies of the house. We sing songs and read books to the babies and it is really exciting to see them grow as the days & weeks go by. As a mother I know often times it can be difficult for parents to leave their children in daycares but the employees at Koala Park really provide a caring and loving environment for all the children and go above and beyond in making children feel like it is their home away from home. And as a team member, I have to say I truly enjoy being part of the KP family. It’s a very homey, cozy and family oriented environment where my needs, I feel, are always being taken care of."

Maria Florencia, KP Lead Teacher

"My name is Maria but everyone knows me as Ms. Flor at Koala Park Daycare 2. I am the head provider at this location and I been working there for over 3 years. I love seeing the children progress through the years. Watching children learn something new is the most rewarding aspect of my job, whether it's learning how to crawl or learn a new word or letter. I love watching children's eyes light up and how excited they get when they realize they have accomplished something new! I absolutely love my job and find it to be challenging and rewarding each and every day. There is always something new to look forward to and I truly enjoy coming to work each day."
